Orange: Exquisite Corpse Game

'Exquisite Corpse' is a game that was invented by the Surrealist artists in the 1920's. They used it not only as a game, but as a part of their creative process. To play, a group of people fold a piece of paper into 3 to 5 sections, and the first person draws in the first section. The paper is passed around the group, and each time the artist folds back the parts before theirs, so the next person can only see what was drawn right before them. In the end, the paper is unfolded and the (usually silly) collaborative drawing is revealed. -Miss R

Green: Design

(no student update today since we had a short class!!) Today we talked about how everything we use had to be designed by someone, and the way that creative thinking can help us in and out of the art world. Then we designed, redesigned or invented something that would be helpful to us in our future! -Miss R
